Antique English Furniture...Victorian breakfront bookcase in Honduran mahogany, constructed in seven parts: a cornice in three parts, an upper section in three parts, and a one-piece lower section; the upper portion with a straight molded cornice above adjustable shelving enclosed by four glazed doors, the astragals forming two tiers of rectangles rising to a pointed Gothic arch; the lower portion with adjustable shelving enclosed by four cupboard doors, each with a panel surmounted by a flattened round arch; the whole raised on a molded plinth base. Length: 96"; depth at center section: 20-3/4"; height: 105-3/4". England, c. 1840-1845. Appraised at $20,000.
