SIMPLY GORGEOUS!! If you do not immediately bid on this for that special musician in your life, you should be ASHAMED of yourself! Incredible Victorian music holder in terrific condition. I am not 100% sure, but looks to be walnut. Small turned columns on each side of a nice pinwheel carved center medallion. Bottom,grooved ledge to hold music. Near the top is a row of spindles that are topped by cone pointed finials. All there,nothing loose or missing. Last, but not least, tall solid brass finials on each end. The hand,adjustable stand is solid cast iron with an ornate clawfoot base. The base itself is not flat to the ground but wonderfully raised on its feet over 4 inches tall. Like the rest of the piece it is virtually damage free. Overall, a STUNNING piece in person. Heirloom quality throughout. The music ledge height can be adjusted from 30 inches to 50 inches. The base measures 13 inches foot to foot. The music holder,itself, measures 23 inches wide and 16 inches tall. Many other unique architectural items listed. All questions encouraged and answered.
